Mr. Schwartz further
advised that staff was cognizant of Ml'CA regulations and best
management practices, and indicated that the soil types in the
biofiltration area were types B and C, and represented "engineered
soils" and would need to meet filtration requirements.
 City Attorney Anderson fully agreed with Mr. Schwartz's comments
 on the road layout and design, as previously addressed as an issue of
 adj acent neighbors during Preliminary Plat approval.
 a
f

1

:;
}

8
Councilmember Roe clarified requested Council action on Final Plat
approval including approval of the public improvement contract and
whether the contract spoke to design of the biofiltration trenches or if
that was a City staff and City engineer determination as part of the
process addressed in the contract.
Mr. Schwartz advised that the public improvement contract spoke to
the biofiltration trenches but that their final design and location of
easements remained pending until engineering designs were negoti-
ated and completed in accordance with City Code and approved by
the City Engineer.
