<br />Thirdly, Geo-Xergy will investigate the feasibility of recuperating thermal energy from the
<br />existing refrigeration plant used to provide refrigeration for the speed skating oval.
<br />The analysis of the energy consumption of the existing HVAC and refrigeration systems,
<br />and an estimate of the potential energy consumption and energy cost reductions that
<br />could be realized with the implementation of the various phases of the integration of the
<br />HVAC and refrigeration systems are presented in this report.
<br />The estimates of the reduction in CO� emissions that could potentially be realized with
<br />the implementation of the various phases of the integration of the HVAC and
<br />refrigeration systems are also presented.
<br />Finally, a budget-level estimate of the cost of implementing various components of the
<br />integrated systems is included.
<br />2. DESCRIPTION OF FACILITIES & EXISTING MECHANICAL SYSTEMS
<br />The Roseville City Hall campus includes the City Hall 1 Public Safety Building, the Public
<br />Works Building, Fire Hall #1, the indoor Ice Arena / Banquet Hall and the refrigerated
<br />outdoor speed skating oval. Most of the heating requirementsfor all of these facilities are
<br />met by burning natural gas. The City Hall / Public Safety Building, the Banquet Hall and
<br />the Fire Hall are air conditioned.
