Currexa�ly, we have decorative lighiing along portions af <br />Larpe�tau� Avez��e, County Roaci B-2 adjacenf to Raseda�e, anct segznents o� Cpuniy Road C. Tk�e ' <br />Visitors AssaciatiQn has put $3,000 into their promotianal budget to allow for Welcome to RasevilIe <br />banners wi�h the stipulation. that if i�e RVA produces the�n they use az�e o�'�he designs frorr� th�ir ad <br />ag�zacy and �eature t�eir lago. They would li�Ce i�e� �nstalled �n arreas �ast populated by �o�ist and <br />guests, I.e. shop�ing �alls. The participation requested from tY�e city wauld be to install the hardware <br />and bar�ners. Based o� �he funding level proposec� by the RVA and the cast a£��e k�axdwa�re arzd baiu�ers <br />they would be looking at approxi�nately 25 instaIlations. We a�nticipate it may cosi the city anywhere <br />from $50 to $100 for each. z�stall �'oar labor and equipment putting the city contrib�tior� ai up io $2504. <br />T�e location the RVA vvould like to focus on iniiially is County Road B-2 adjacenfi Rosedale and along <br />Larpenteur Aven�ze frozn Lexington Avenue west. The PWETC received a presentation fro�n Juli� <br />Larson af tk�e RVA regard'zng this rec��est and recammends suppart a� the Welcozne Banners. <br />Julie Larson vvilI be present a� t�e Council meeting for discussion and will have rriock u�s of the <br />praposed ba�ers. Attached is a copy af pe�iinent seetions of the current sign code r�lating io banners <br />a�d Governmenial signs.
