Staff has been pursc�ing this recc�mmendat[nn <br />in a variaus ways. The Roseville Ska�in� Center ma�e sigr�ifica�t progr�ss toward <br />accampfisl�ing many of t�e goals outfi�ed in the �ask force repart and this agreement <br />f�rthers �hose ef�ar�s. <br />As a pari of the recent building projeci at the Rasev��ie Ska���g CertterlQVA�, the lower <br />Cewel created art additionaC lacker rpam. T�e Midway Speedsl�at[ng Clt�b is interesteci in <br />[easing that space �xclusively for Speedskating at a rate of $'f O,OQO per year far three <br />years. <br />Tl�e praposed lease agreement is afitached and has beer� re�iewed �y the City attnrney <br />and staff rec�mmends ap�roval. <br />PO�ICY OBJECTIVE <br />Written agreements be�ween t�e Ciiy af Roserri[le and other orgar�izatior�s as a way to <br />reduc� city costs/gain re�enues while praviding I�igh quality programs and facilities are <br />consisten# wifi� city policy. The agreement has beer� reviewed by the City A��orney. <br />Imagine Rvsevilfe 2025 encourages fihe expioratian ofi partnersi�ips. <br />�INANC�AL IMPLICATIONS <br />This propnsed agreement would rasult in annuai payments fa t�e Skaf�r�g Cent�r of <br />$1q,OD0 per year throug� October 3�, 2010. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />Based u�or� the City Attc�rney re�iew and the related recammendatinns af the Ska�ing <br />Center Tas[c �nrce Report, staff recammends entering into an agreemenfi with Midway <br />Speedskating ta lease th� OVA�. locker room as described fior a period of fnree years. <br />
