Accor�.ing to Habitat for humanity, it is much <br />easier to builc� a"simple, decent" home in Mexico, Poland, the Philippines, or Nigeria on twice <br />the U.S. minimum wage than it is here. The workers that came here through the program <br />wouldn't be able to become a citizen, and they wouldn't have all the rights that citizens do, like <br />voting, but they would have a better job than they did in their native country. <br />Immigration can he a very hard issue to think and make rules about. It can be a very <br />touchy issue and you can really offend people with your opinions on it. I hope that the US <br />government will make good choices concerning immigration that will encourage peace between <br />all nations. Although the US is one of the riches countries in the world, we have to remember <br />that we were formed by immigrants and that a large percent of our populationtoday is made up <br />of immigrants. I hope that everybody will realize this so that our communities will prosper in <br />peace. <br />
