Mayor Klausing suggested that it would have provided more positive func- tioning of the City Council if Councilmember Ihlan had sought legal advice from City Attorney Anderson prior to tonight's meeting. Councilmember Ihlan reiterated her past arguments that the City Council had given premature approval for this preliminary plat request of the appli- cant. �� City Attorney Anderson concurred with staff that it was not unusual for an � 1 applicant to seek an extension for required work to be completed between �� the preliminary and final plat approvals. �� �.4 Mayor Klausing, citing his experience on the City Council and Planning �� Commission, noted that, as a common courtesy, unless evident prejudice to �� the interests of the citizens or City in doing so, it was normal to grant an ex- �� tension when requested by an applicant. �� �� �� �1 �� �� �� Councilmember Ihlan sought public comment; however, no one appeared.
