Accept Donation for the Police and Fire Departments from the <br />Thibodeau Family <br />Fire Chief Rich Gasaway and Police Chief Carol Sletner reviewed the <br />past and continued gracious donations of Hugh and Julie Thibodeau, <br />and their ongoing philanthropy in supporting the City's Police and <br />Fire Departments. Chief Gasaway provided a detailed report of the <br />City's involvement in the Heart Safe Community Initiative and early <br />access to EMS systems and education of citizens in CPR. Chief C�-a- <br />saway noted the need for special equipment for defibrillators for use <br />on children; and once the Thibodeau's were made aware of the need, <br />how their generosity once again far-exceeded expectations; and their <br />willing support of the program and provision of necessary equipment <br />by purchasing 10 special defibrillators for use in Police and Fire De- <br />partment vehicles. <br />1� <br />l�� Mayor Klausing, on behalf of the City Council, staff and community, <br />1�7 thanked Mr. and Mrs. Thibodeau for their continuing generosity; and <br />1� publicly thanked them for their service to the entire community. <br />]� <br />�� <br />�.l <br />�? <br />�� <br />�� <br />�5 <br />�� <br />�� <br />�� <br />��� <br />3� <br />�1 <br />�� <br />�� <br />�� <br />35 <br />�� <br />�� <br />�� <br />�� <br />Mr. Hugh Thibodeau spoke, noting that he and his wife considered it a <br />privilege to provide equipment that would have a community-wide <br />impact. <br />Kough moved, Roe seconded, approval to accept a donation from the <br />Thibodeau family to benefit both the Police and Fire Departments to <br />purchase automatic external defibrillators. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Pust; Ihlan; Kough; Roe and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />4.
