Agenda Section: <br />.� CONSENT <br />�#�m [���p���; }���u��# fi�r .�p�nr�����#rF a B�ra Pt�mft to burn the prairie at <br />Owasso Hei�hts Town Home Association, 2970 Hi�h Pointe Curve. <br />i.o <br />I.I <br />�.� <br />�.� <br />,� <br />�. � <br />�_i� <br />Requested Action <br />Prairie Restorations, Inc. is requesting City Council approval of a burn permit to bum "an <br />established prairie" at 2970 High Pointe Curve. <br />Background <br />Prairie Restorations Inc. is requesting a burn permit to burn the wild prairie growth on the <br />site. The area is approximately'/z acre in size. <br />There was a permit issued last year but due to weather conditions, burn was not conducted. <br />Prairie Restorations, Inc. proposes to have five trained and experienced personnel on site to <br />conduct the burn. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />�. I It is the recommendation of the staffthat the City Council authorize the Fire Marshal to issue <br />a burn permit to Prairie Restorations, Inc. to conduct the burn at 2970 High Pointe Curve for <br />the purpose of maintaining the existing prairie grass and wild flowers on the site. The permit <br />would be for the period of Aprill, 2007 through June 30,2007. <br />5.� F Suggested City Council Action <br />�,] By motion, authorize the Fire Marshal to issue a burn permit to Prairie Restorations, Inc. to <br />burn the wild flowers and grasses located at 2970 High Point Curve conditioned upon <br />compliance with the following stipulations: <br />a� The effective date of the permit shall be from April l through June 30,2007; <br />b� The burn shall be conducted by acknowledged experts ; and, <br />�� The permittee shall notify the Neighbors directly adj acent to the property and the <br />Roseville Fire Department at no less than two days prior to the date of the burn. <br />d� Applicant apply for and receive a variance from DNR or burn restrictions be <br />lifted. <br />Enclosure; letter from applicant <br />Prepared by John La�s, Fire Marshal <br />
