F. No Parking after snowfall: <br />1. Parking Restricted: No person shall park any vehicle, except in compliance with directions of a police <br />officer or in compliance with regulatory parking signs, on any street for a period of forty eight (48) hours <br />commencing immediately after any two inches (2') or more continuous snowfall or until snow removal has <br />been completed on any street, whichever occurs first. (Ord. 687, 12-18-72) (bo2.09A) <br />2. Removal of Illegally Parked Vehicles: Any vehicle parked in violation of this Section is declared to be a <br />nuisance which interferes with snow removal from public sheets and any police officer may remove or <br />cause to be removed, summarily, any such vehicle by means of towing or otherwise or such police officer <br />may require the driver or owner to remove such vehicle off the paved, improved or traveled portion of such <br />street. {602.0.98) <br />3. Prosecution for Violation: The removal of a vehicle which is parked in violation of this Section, either by a <br />police officer or under the direction of a police officer, shall not preclude a prosecution for violation of any <br />provision of this Chapter. (Ord. 361, 2-26-62) (602.o9C} <br />1018.10: JOINT PARKING FACILITIES: <br />A. Joint Parking Facilities Permitted. Required parking facilities serving two (2) or more uses may be located on <br />the same lot or in the same structure, provided that the total number of parking spaces furnished shall not be <br />less than the sum of the separate requirements for each use. (1005.01�1) <br />B. General Conditions For Approval: The City Council may approve the joint use of parking facilities for the <br />following uses or activities under the following conditions: (���x��. oi �.z� <br />1. Up to fifty percent (50/) of the parking facilities required for a theater, bowling alley, dance hall, bar or <br />restaurant may be supplied by the off-streetparking facilities provided by types of uses specified under <br />subsection 4 below as primarily daytime uses. (1005. o1EZa) <br />2. Up to fifty percent (50/) of the off-streetparking facilities required for any use specified under subsection <br />4 below as primarily daytime uses may be supplied by the parking facilities provided by the following <br />nighttime or Sunday uses: Auditoriums incidental to a public or parochial school, churches, bowling alleys, _ <br />dance halls, theaters, bars or restaurants. Up to fifty percent (50%) of the parking facilities required for a church or for an auditorium incidental to a , <br />public or parochial school may be supplied by the off-street parking facilities provided by uses specified in <br />subsection 4 below as primarily daytime uses. For the purposes of this subsection, the following uses are considered as primarily daytime uses: Banks, <br />business offices, retail stores, personal service shops, household equipment or furnittt�-e shops, clothing or <br />shoe repair or service shops, manufacturing, wholesale and similar uses. (10o5.01E2d) <br />S. Conditions Required For Joint Use: <br />a. The building or use for which application is being made to utilize the off-streetparking facilities <br />provided by another building or use shall be located within four hundred feet (400') of such parking <br />facilities. f! r���,�. �a� �. ryr� + �� <br />b. The applicant shall show, and the city shall determine in its discretion, that there is not substantial <br />conflict in principal operating hours of the ti�va (2) buildings or uses for which joint use of off-street <br />parking facilities is proposed. � r�i+�r.5.u���.%crN'r,� <br />c. A properly drawn legal instrument, executed by the parties concerned for j oint use of off-street parking <br />facilities, duly approved as to form and manner of execution by the City Attorney, shall be filed with the <br />City Manager. f!�,�,,� r�: r�. ir�r��; � <br />1018.11: SPECIAL PARKING PROVISIONS OR DISTRICTS: <br />A. Van Pooling Programs; Reduction Of Parking Spaces Required: Where a van pooling program exists for <br />employees of a user of property in a business district and such program reduces the need for parking spaces, <br />the number of parking spaces not needed because of such program may be reduced from the requirements. <br />Space sufficientto accommodate such reduced number of parking spaces shall be maintained as open space <br />and shall be converted to parking spaces in the event that the program is terminated or its effectiveness in <br />reducing parking space needs drops.
