A1������r R�ai��1; Agenda Section: <br />I • T <br />� �� I'�'�' �� •�• . � �-�����.����� � ` ����" � � � � � �' <br />Item Description: Consider Resolution an 20U8 Capital Budget Request for the Guidant John <br />Rose Minnesota OVAL <br />BACKGROUND <br />In 2006 the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL was included in state bonding bill for <br />improvements in the amount of $500,000. The initial request was for $960,000. While grateful <br />for the inclusion in the bill, the need still exists for the remaining (and additional) capital <br />projects. <br />Attached is a proposed resolution supporting the request for assistance for projects for the <br />2008 bonding bill. Also attached is a list of the projects and cost estimates. <br />The deadline for submission of the application is June ����. 2007 <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br />It is the staff recommendation that the City pursue the Guidant John Rose Minnesota OVAL <br />inclusion in the 2008 bonding bill for the projects as listed at an estimated cost of $695, 000, <br />which includes an inflationary factor and takes into consideration the Construction Cost <br />Index. <br />COUNCILACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion adopting the attached resolution supporting the requestfor state funds in the amount <br />of $695,000 for capital improvements and renovations to the Guidant John Rose Minnesota <br />OVAL as outlined, <br />
