The Pro,ject i�zcluc�es: <br />• Pedestrian sidewalk connectipn wader the I-35W bridge far the County Raad C regional pat�way. <br />• Make corridor landscaping improvements along the baulevards ar�d nnedians by iz�stalling 4S�a perenr�ials, <br />S77 orna�nen�al trees, and 164 over-story trees aiong the e�tire ler€gth of County Aoad C between Long Lake <br />Road and O��'aard Street. <br />• Landscapi��g fo� the stoa-�x► water facili�ies at �I.oward �oht�soiX Park, City Hall, and Ox%rd Pond with 614 <br />shrubs, 3 i OQ i�ain garden plants, & split rail fence. <br />• Ciry Ha11 si�nage at the northwest corner of County Road C and Lexington. <br />fiinancial ��ap�ieations: �n 2002, the City applied for and received federal funding for �l�e streeiscape project. Tize <br />original grant vvas for $1,000,000 which has been adjusted for inflation to $1,130,Q00. These federal �unds can <br />provide up io arz 80/20 matc�. Ir� addition to these matching construeiion funds, tihe City is funding the design <br />costs. W1xen tl�is project was approved, the City Coui�cil request�d that we erraphasize landscaping and eliminate <br />tl�e "non-fi�nctional" stceetscape elexnents.
