Ms. Sehaffer urged the City Council to consider broadening the <br />3 study further wi�h or without a moratorium in place, opining �hat the <br />4 issue for a suburb such as Ros�vflle was of paramount importancc zn <br />5 �nain�a�ning in�erest in the co�n.tnunity and praviding affordable hous- <br />6 ing. Ms. Schaffer encouraged the Ci�y Council to broaden camumuni�y <br />7 inp�t lay seeking involvemcnt from �hose not alxeady pari o� the gov- <br />8 ernm�n� system to gain their per�pective; and while expressing appz�e- <br />9 cia�ion to the P�an.ning Commission for their willingness to take on <br />10 add�tional assignments, noted that �he Study Group had been domi- <br />�� nated by Plannxng Commission members. Mr. Ca��aghan further opined that there was no <br />comparable ci�y information and no alternative option�. Mr. ' Cal- <br />laghan provid�d h�s p��sona� perspective on why he �ived in Rose- <br />ville, and his appreciation of his large �ot and neighborhood character- <br />isiics; and questioned the apparent report recommendations that <br />neighborhood eharac�er didn't need to be pre�e�-ved, and wh�ther the <br />CAG was represented by any prop�rty awner having been impacted <br />by a lot �p�i� in their neighborhood. <br />36 Councilmember �ough noted �he map provided by the Community <br />37 Development Department identifying 100 �ots that could patentially <br />38 be sp�i�, and his concerns that dev��opers wi11 purchase multip�e Iots <br />39 w�th ihe intent �o subdivide them. <br />
