(MECCA) <br />Member, Vice-president and Land Use and Zoning Chairman <br />MECCA was one of the original environmental citizens groups, at the forefront <br />of public awareness and education in matters of polution, conservation and land <br />use. Members were professionals and experts in their particular field of business <br />or interest. MECCA lobied legislators, public agencies, communities and private <br />industry on local, state and federal issues, testifying during legislative hearings. <br />I��?���-?�! Ramsey County Citizens Committee on Open Space and Recreation <br />This committee developed a plan to establish an Open Space System for Ramsey <br />County, and present it to local municipalities and legislators. <br />$15,000,000 funding was established during the 19691egislative session. <br />� ,�,.� ,� <br />,�_, <br />I {�-'�-'�(, <br />Metropolitan Open Space Information Project <br />Co-authored published report.
