Cities are not required to seek bids each year, so in 2005 staff requested quotes from the newspapers for 2005 and 2006. Although the City may not designate a newspaper for more than one calendar year, we requested the information for two years to reduce staff work and allow the City to proj ect costs. The City requested information from the Pioneer Press, Roseville Review, Star Tribune and Sun Focus. The Star Tribune did not respond. In 2005 the City spent approximately to $2,000 in Legal Notices. Based on this number, the City would spend approximately $2,088 with the Roseville Review in 2006. Council Action Rec�uested Motion designating the lowest bidder, the Roseville Review, as the legal newspaper for the City of Roseville for 2006.
