'k! . <br />Item Description: DESIGNATION OF ASSISTANT WEED INSPECTOR FOR 2006 <br />I _i� REQUESTED ACTION: <br />I 1 Under Minnesota Statutes, the Mayor is the designated Weed Inspector of the City. The <br />Mayor may however appoint assistant(s) to perform the statutorily required weed <br />inspection duties of the City. <br />I� Mayor Klausing is herein requesting that the Council appoint the City of Roseville <br />Community Development Department Permits Coordinator as his assistant to perfornl all <br />weed inspection duties. <br />�'.11 BACKGROUND: <br />�. I Under Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.80, the Mayor is designated to be the City Weed <br />Inspector. <br />?' Minnesota Statutes allows the appointment of "assistants" to perform the statutory weed <br />duties of the Mayor.
