Ms. Raye's proposal also includes a deliverable product; this is not touchy-feely relation- <br />ship analysis. For example, one outcome could be a set of council protocols or norms or <br />expectations about the conduct of city council meetings. Such an understanding among <br />councilmembers could pay tangible dividends at each and every one of your 30+ council <br />meetings in the form of more council productivity. <br />III. RECOMMENDATION & REOUEST <br />For these reasons, we recommend the City contract with Barbara Raye of the Center for <br />Policy, Planning, and Performance. <br />We recommend a contract not to exceed $6,500 to include steps 1-4 of Ms. Raye's Proposal, <br />attached, that pertain to workstyle analysis and team-building. <br />Motion: A motion authorizing the Mayor and City Manager to sign a contract with Barbara <br />Raye of the Center for Policy, Planning, and Performance for an amount not to exceed <br />$6,500 to provide team-building and workstyle analysis services in accordance with steps <br />1-4 of her Proposal, on such date or dates as the City Council shall determine. <br />�_ �� <br />� <br />
