Parking Study Task Farce MEMORANDUM TO: MZ,MBL;RS O� '1 HE ROSEVILLE CITY COUNCIL FR�M: AMY IHLAN SUBJECT: PROPOSAL FOR A PARKING STLTDY TASK F�RCE DATE: FEBRUARY 7, 2QOb Although resident complaints about parking are increasing, neit�er the recently adopted property maintenance code nor the proposed rental licensing eode include any provisions dealing with parking issues. I prapose that the council crea�e a parking study task force, which would be charged with a camprehensive review af Roseville's parking-related ordinances and policies, and iryiang to develap a com�u�zity consensus about how our city code should be updated to address parking concerns. The task force could study on and off- street parking problems across the entire community (including c�n-site vehicle storage, parking po�icies for businesses in or adjac�nt to residential neighborhoads, sCudent parking, nn-street parking policies, and parking policies/lirnits for rental or other multi-vehicle properiies) to ideniify issues Raseville needs to address. The task force could also look at other cities' pax�ing axclinances for ideas and solutions, and �nake recommendatio�s to t�e city cauncil for possible code amendments. In ac�dition to representati�es froz� t�e city eouncil, staff, and approprzate citizen commissions, the task force sho�Id include neighborhaod representatives fram aeross Roseville and he open to any mernbers of the puhlic who wish ta participate.
