City CounciI Reguta�r Meeting — Qll301Q5 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page �2 <br />Subdivision to create three parcels, ane with an existing house Road B(PF 3699) <br />that meets or exceeds all city regulations �or an interior lot, a <br />second parcel (vacant) meeting or exceeding all requirements for <br />an interior lot, and the third parcel (vacant) meeting all <br />requirements for the corner lot at County Aoad B and Acorn <br />Road. <br />Mr. Welsch nated that Mr. Forman had originally applied for a <br />varianee to lot frontage for ParceI C along Caunty Road B and <br />that, while the Planning Commission recommended approval o� <br />a variance, N1r. Forman withdrew his variance request, and <br />revised the request, following substantiai neighborhood <br />disapproval of his original request. Mr. Welsch noi�d that both <br />staff and �he Planning Commission recommended apparoval af <br />�he Minor Subdivision reques�. <br />Councilmember �hlan noted that the Council agenda was ahead <br />of projected time listed on the Council Agenda and suggested <br />holding discussion on this item until the proposed time to allow <br />public comment. <br />Mayor K�ausing took Councilmember Ihlan's concerns �nto <br />consideration and wauld be flexible, but noted tha� the C�ty <br />Council mee�ing started at 6:00 p.m. and the times listed were <br />only proj ections. <br />Councilmember Ihlan noted that she intended to ask the new City <br />Council io reconsider a moratorium on new subdivisions in the <br />near future; opining that the number of subdivision requests <br />continued to grow to the consternation a� neighboring property <br />owners regarding loss of �rees and open space. <br />Ihlan moved to table d�scussion of this subdivision requesi to <br />allow time for reconsid�ration of a moratorium. Mayor Klausing <br />declared the motion failed for lack of a second. <br />Councilmember Ihlan brought concerns �o the Counc�l's <br />attention aregarding adequate notice, specifically addressing the <br />January 24, 2006 letter from George LeTendre, and attorney and <br />neighboring property awner, threatening a lawsuit ii the Ciiy <br />Council approved the applicant's request; and nated that she had <br />
