City Councii Reguiar Meeting — 07/11/OS <br />Minutes - Page 19 <br />Schroeder moved, Kough seconded, adoption of Resolution No. <br />10321 entitled, "Resolution Approving Mayor's Appointment of <br />Counciimember Dean Maschka to the Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority in and for the City of Roseville to fill <br />an Unexpired Vacancy." <br />Upon Ac�ing Mayor Maschka's preparation to abstain from <br />voting on th� matter, City Attorney Anderson clarif ed that there <br />would be no conflict of interest or no reason for Councilmember <br />Maschka to abstain. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroed�r, Ihlan; Kough and Maschka. <br />Nays: Nane. <br />9. Consider a Process for Selecting a new Narth Suburban <br />Cable Commission Boardmember Representing Rc►seville <br />Councilmember Ihlan advised that, while having considered the <br />appointment, she was not prepared to pursue appointment to the <br />Cab1e Commission. CounciImember Ihlan noted ihai <br />Counci�member Kough had expressed interest zn the posi�ion. <br />Councilmember Kough confiar�med his interest in serving on the <br />North Suburban Cab�e Commission as Ro�eville's <br />representative. <br />Councilmember Schroeder reviewed the rationale for his <br />resignation from the Commission, opining that the Directors had <br />no power; and that Comcast had the resaurces to pursue their <br />intere�ts, and tied the hands of the Commission. Councilmember <br />Schroeder indicaied that he therefore, couldn't do justice to the <br />position and serve �he besi interests of the ciiizens of Roseville. <br />Maschka mov�d, Ihlan seconded, appointment of <br />Councilmember Kough to se�rve as the Ciiy of Roseville's <br />r�presentative to the North Suburban Cabie Commission {NSCC) <br />until the end of his Council term. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Schroeder; Ihlan; Kough and Maschka. <br />Nays; None. <br />Maschka �o the <br />HRA <br />Appointment af <br />NSCC Board <br />Member <br />
