S.d Hear from Mayor Klausing about his Participation in the Experienced Officials Conference sponsored by the League of Minnesota Cities (LMC) Mayor Klausing briefly reviewed several of the presentations he'd attended as part of the Experienced Officials Conference held February 17 and 18, 2006, in Bloomington, MN. Mayor Klausing highlighted specific presentations and his observations related to financing city government; the ongoing struggles of local government to keep a balance between keeping taxes low and affordable, while providing quality of life services; and implications of continually shifting funding responsibilities. 6. Consider a Request by Jon k�arm�n Minor Subdivision at 2161 County Road B(PF 3699); Continued from January 30, 2006 City Planner Thomas Paschke noted that Mr. Forman had originally applied for a variance to lot frontage for Parcel C along County Road B, with subsequent Planning Commission recommendation, but withdrawal by Mr. Forman. Mr. Paschke noted that this modified request is only for a three parcel minor subdivision; and that the Council had previously heard the request on January 30, 2006, and continued it until tonight to allow for additional hearing on the proposal. Mr. Paschke reviewed the current request as outlined in the Request for Council Action dated February 27, 2006; and staffs recommendation for approval, subject to listed conditions.
