The discussions are now complete <br />and are encompassed in the attached Lease Agreement. The Agreement is submitted for Council <br />review and approval. <br />City Staff have also reviewed and approved the site plan for the equipment that will be located <br />near the base of the tower. To accommodate the equipment and to promote better efficiencies <br />within the site itself, the fenced in area surrounding the tower will be "squared off and <br />expanded by approximately 2,400 square feet. The cost of the added fence will be recouped <br />through wireless lease payments. <br />Discussion Items <br />The attached lease agreement with Cingular is consistent with prior wireless lease agreements <br />and reflects current market conditions. The lease calls for the following: <br />G� Five year initial term, commencing May l, 2006, and ending May 1,2011 <br />C� Cingular has the right to renew the lease for four (4) additional five-year terms subj ect <br />to terms of the original lease. <br />C� Cin�ular shall �ay the City annual rent of $22,000 per year, with automatic increases of <br />?� �� pei ❑r���rr,. _ . _ — — — <br />,�__� m <br />Cingular's antenna equipment will be mounted on the legs of the water tower just below the base <br />of the water tower bowl, at approximately 75'.
