I have a broad range of interests and am interested in three commissions, Planning, Ptu'�s and Rec�eation, and i�um�n Rights. I�vo��ld �e to serve on the Planning Commission because I believe that how we use our I�� has the strongest impact on what type of community we will be in the future. It a�ecks our tax base, our housing stock, our schools, and our environment. It is, ifyou will, the foundation of our community. I would like to serve on the Parks a�aac�. Recreation Commission because 1 believe that our parks and recreational opportunities are an essential part of our cn�amunity_ 1 believe that with the �ight�n.in� economic policies we must insure the maintenance of t�Zese amenities. � would like t o serve on the Human Rights Cr�mmiss�qn because I have noticed several disturbing trends in Roseville over the past few years. I believe it is the role of the community to protect the rights of all individuals and see that differences, whatever they are, are respectfully tolerated. Role of Commissions: I believe that th e role o�ar� Advisory Commissionis to learn, to discuss, to advise and to educate. 3�`�.e Commission as a whole recognizes a problem in their area of concern, it is their responsibility to bring it to the attention of appropriate staff �n�1or Council. i� so directed, it is the responsibility of the Commission to advise on any issues given to them.
