Date: 04/10/06 <br />Item: 12. <br />Special Meeting on 04/22/06 <br />����� Consultant Barbara Raye & <br />� �tratez�ic Goal-set tin^ <br />April 10, 2006 <br />Request for Council Action <br />Item Description: <br />Barbara Raye and Strategic Planning <br />L BACKGROUND <br />On February 13,2006, the Council approved a motion to retain Barbara Raye as a consult- <br />ant for some team-building activities. <br />As part of that engagement, Barbara Raye talked separately with each Councilmember. <br />Based on her conversations with Councilmembers she modified her approach to focus on <br />preparing the Council for strategic planning. <br />II. UPDATE <br />Barbara has now spoken with you again and would like to conclude her work with one <br />more session on Saturday, April ��''' from $:Oa a.m. to 12 p.m. She would spend approxi- <br />mately half the morning on another learning instrument and the remaining half of the <br />morning on strategic goal-setting. <br />III. REQUESTED ACTION <br />City Council motion calling a special council meeting at the Roseville City Hall on Satur- <br />day, Apri122 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. to conduct strategic planning related activities with <br />Barbara Raye. The meeting would be open to the public, cablecast live, and video-taped for <br />rebroadcast a dozen or more times on Cable Channe116. <br />
