Appoint Citizen Advisory Commission Members, Continued <br />Further discussion ensued regarding the ranl�ing system; input of <br />and participatory ranl�ing by Commission Chairpersons; <br />Councilmember Ihlan spoke in opposition to the appointment, <br />due to the ranl�ing process and due to her interpretation of the <br />language of the term limit provision. <br />Councilmember Pust expressed disappointment that the term <br />issue had not been discussed and researched previously; noted <br />that she was unable to provide a historical perspective, but noted <br />Councilmember consensus was that the intent of the term limit <br />language had been met. <br />Roll Call [Parks and Recreation Commission] <br />Ayes: Maschlca; Pust; Kough and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan. <br />Maschlca moved, Pust seconded, appointing Dan Roe to the one <br />vacancy on the Planning Commission. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschlca; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan and Kough. <br />Pust moved, Kough seconded, appointing Tam McGehee to a <br />vacancy on the Human Rights Commission. <br />Mayor Klausing spoke in opposition to the appointment of Ms. <br />McGehee, expressing concern with Ms. McGehee's comments <br />during the interview regarding Police Department procedures. <br />Appoint Citizen <br />Advisory <br />Commission <br />Members <br />Continued <br />
