City of <br />��� <br />h�3 i� mc�vrrta, 4 �4�► <br />Date: ��#� J �f�� <br />Item: 2.a <br />Minutes of 3127106 <br />City Council Meeting <br />City Council Chambers, 2660 Civic Center Drive <br />DRAFT—Minutes—DRAFT <br />Monday, March 27,2006 <br />Call Roll Call Roll <br />Mayor Klausing called to order the Roseville City Council <br />regular meeting at �:Ob p.m. and welcomed everyone. <br />Roll Call (Voting and Seating Order) <br />Councilmembers Maschlca; Pust; Ihlan; Kough and Mayor <br />Klausing. All were present. <br />City Attorney Joe Langel was also present. <br />Mayor Klausing welcomed several University of Minnesota <br />Journalism students in attendance at tonight's meeting. <br />1. Interview Two Human Rights Commission Applicants <br />City Manager Neal Beats noted that four Human Rights <br />Commission applicants had originally been scheduled for <br />interviews tonight. However, Joan Smiley had respectfully <br />withdrawn her application; and applicants Gerald Bosch and <br />Pamela Kennedy were unavailable to schedule interviews <br />tonight; and asked that the Council consider their written <br />application for service on the Commission. Mr. Beets noted that <br />Tam McGehee was present for her interview at tonight's <br />meeting. <br />Councilmember Ihlan expressed concern that the procedure for <br />individual Councilmember ranl�ing was inconsistent, <br />marginalized the process and proved unfair for applicants. <br />Interview Human <br />Rights Commission <br />Applicants <br />Approve Agenda Approve Agenda <br />Mayor Klausing called for any comments or discussion on <br />tonight's Agenda. <br />
