REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION
DATE: 04/24/06
ITEM: 3 j
i] ptrnt 1r+aal : 'iriayer li►•iw rl Agenda Section:
r • r r •
`. r4 _ ' . CONSENT
; y:r " ....,:.f
J
Item Description: Approve Maintenance Declaration for Roselawn Avenue storm water
facilities.
Background: This spring, we will start the Roselawn Avenue Reconstruction project. A
portion of this project is within the Rice Creek Watershed District. To meet the requirements of
their storm water permit, we will be constructing new storm water treatment facilities within the
Roselawn right-of-way. These improvements include biofiltration areas located between
Snelling Avenue and Arona Street.
Another condition of the permit is to file at Ramsey County a Declaration for Maintenance of
Storm water facilities for these biofiltration areas.
Financial Implications: The maintenance for all new storm water facilities are the
responsibility of the City of Roseville since they are connected to the City's overall surface water
management plan. The conditions of the agreement are equivalent to our maintenance
commitments for all storm sewer facilities_in the City.
RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTIONS:
Approve the declaration for maintenance of stonn water facilities on Roselawn Avenue.
Prepared By: Debra Bloom
