Visioning Steering CommitteeApplication <br />Tan �cGehe� <br />Apri120,2006 <br />Page 2 <br />Reasons for Wanting to Serve: <br />I would like to serve on the Community Visioning Steering Committee <br />because I participated in �k�e Vista 2000 process and found it both <br />educational and successfuL I believe in the visioning process as a <br />corn�unity empowering process, open to all residents and structured by <br />citizens with the assistance of a facilitator. I believe in broad cQn�nur��ty <br />involvementin this process and creating a process that is workable and <br />easily accessible for all citizens. I believe my background as a manager <br />and conununity activist would be useful in achieving these goals. <br />�2��e �f ���e Steering Committee: <br />I believe that the role of the Commru�ity Visioning Steering Con�ittee is <br />to design and guarantee a fair and open process that invites and allows <br />maximum community input and participation. This Committee must set <br />reasonable and appropriate deadlines for reports, respond to procedural <br />issues, and see that methods of assuring future adherence are included � <br />the process. <br />
