REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 04/24/2006 <br />Department Approval: <br />� '�. �� <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION <br />Ducks Unlimited One Day Gambling <br />BACKGROUND <br />Manager Reviewed: <br />jF� j .� <br />f,� � .- <br />x ' f ���. <br />+ ��'^��' �•' �� � •'F <br />Item Number: 3 � <br />Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />Ducks Unlimited has applied for an Exemption from Lawful Gambling Licensing Requirements <br />to conduct lawful gambling activities on September 14 at the Radisson located at 2540 N <br />Cleveland. <br />The Minnesota Charitable Gambling Regulations allow any nonprofit organization, which <br />conducts lawful gambling for less than five (5) days per year, and total prizes do not exceed <br />$50,000.00 in value, to be exempt from the licensing requirements if the city approves. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion approving Ducks Unlimited request to conduct a raffle on September 14, at the Radisson <br />located at 2540 N Cleveland. <br />
