EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly held in the City Hall at 2660 Civic Center <br />Drive, Roseville, Minnesota, on Monday, 24th day of April, 2006, at 6:00 p.m. <br />The following members were present: and the following members were absent: <br />introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING <br />TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL AGREEMENT <br />FOR ROSELAWN AVENUE AND T.H. 51 INTERSECTION <br />MN/DOT AGREEMENT NO. 89562M <br />BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Roseville, as follows: <br />WHEREAS, the State has an existing traffic control signal including street lights, <br />interconnect, control equipment, and signing (Traffic Control Signal) at the Roselawn Avenue <br />and TH S 1(Snelling Avenue) intersection; <br />AND WHEREAS, the intersection does not have an Emergency Vehicle Pre-emption System; <br />AND WHEREAS, the City of Roseville and the City of Falcon Heights, believe that these <br />systems are very important for Emergency vehicle response times and intersection safety; <br />NOW, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Roseville enter into an agreement with the State of <br />Minnesota, Department of Transportation for the following purposes, to wit: <br />Install an Emergency Vehicle Pre-emption System at the existing traffic control signal <br />on Trunk Highway 51 (Snelling Avenue) at Roselawn Avenue in accordance with the <br />terms and conditions set forth and contained in Agreement No. 89562M a copy of <br />which was before the Council. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the proper Mayor and City Manager are hereby <br />authorized to execute such agreement and any amendments, and thereby assume for and on <br />behalf of the City all of the contractual obligations contained therein. <br />The motion was duly seconded by and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted <br />in favor thereof: and the following voted against: <br />WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
