City Council Regular Meeting— 04/24/06 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 31 <br />Klausing moved, Maschka seconded, Karl Keel for appointment <br />to the steering committee. <br />Mayor Klausing reviewed Mr. Keel's credentials; as former <br />Public Works Director for the City, with extensive administrative <br />and organizational skills. Councilmember Maschka concurred <br />with Mayor Klausing's comments. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Ihlan; Maschka; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: Kough. <br />Pust moved, Maschka seconded, Jim Mulder for appointment to <br />the steering committee. <br />Councilmember <br />specifically his <br />County. <br />Pust reviewed Mr. Mulder's credentials; <br />regional connections and expertise with the <br />Councilmember Ihlan spoke against the motion, without <br />prejudice to Mr. Mulder, due to his involvement on other <br />Commissions, past service on the Planning Commission, and the <br />need for new people to serve. Councilmernber Kough concurred <br />with Councilmember Ihlan's comments, and spoke against the <br />motion. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: Ihlan and Kough. <br />Maschka moved, Klausing seconded, appointment of Mark <br />Traynor to the steering committee. <br />Councilmernber Maschka spoke to Mr. Traynor's credentials and <br />the benefit of his service on the Planning Commission. <br />Mayor Klausing questioned whether to appoint Mr. '�'raynor, or <br />to appoint a Planning Commission representative, leaving it open <br />to their discretion, with the Vice Chair, Mary Bakeman, also <br />willing to serve. <br />
