The above corrects any deviation between the definitions in Chapter 501, and could be run through as a consent agenda item. We could do the same thing if we have other chapters that have introductory section definitions, but we wish to define a term differently within a section in that chapter. I note that Chapter 501, Section 501.01 is "Definitions" and states that "As used in this Chapter, the following words and terms shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section." There are only three wordslterms defined in this section: At Large; Owner; and Service Animals. I also note that the vicious animals ordinance that was adopted on April 10, begins with Definitions and includes: Dangerous Animal; Potentially Dangerous Animal; Proper Enclosure; Owner; Substantial Bodily Harm; Great Bodily Harm; and Animal Control Authority. Note the definition of "Owner" in 501.O1 is defined as "Any person keeping a dog or other animal." The definition of "Owner" in SOL16 is defined as: "means anyperson, firm, corporation, organization, or department possessing, harboring, keeping, having an interest in, or having care, custody, or control of an animal."
