City Council Regular Meeting— p6/24/pG <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 13 <br />Councilmembers Ihlan and Kough expressed interest in <br />participating in the review and approval of the landscaping for <br />the site. <br />Mayor Klausing recommended that Councilmembers provide <br />their input to staff for consideration in the overall plan. <br />Roll Call [10.7� <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan; Pust; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Public Comment <br />Applicant Gary Collins, L. A. Fitness and John Mazzitello, <br />RLK Engineering Mr. Mazzitello noted that the impervious <br />area was reduced by 14% with this CUP from existing <br />impervious area; and that green space was also exceeded by 5% <br />within the parking area; and further noted that the applicant was <br />working with the Rice Creek Watershed District related to storm <br />water discharge requirements. <br />Mr. Mazzitello requested that Item 12 of the Conditional Use <br />Permit regarding its expiration be extended from six (6) months <br />to twelve (12) months to allow for successful land acquisition. <br />Mr. Paschke supported the request of the applicant and <br />recommended approval by the City Council. <br />City Attorney Squires concurred. <br />Maschka moved, Ihlan seconded, amending Condition No. 12 of <br />the Conditional Use Permit and Resolution to extend it for <br />twelve (12) months after the approval date, rather than six (6) <br />months. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Ihlan; Pust; Maschka and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />8. Consider Whether to Renew and Extend the Alternative Renew and Extend <br />Urban Area Review (AUAR) for Twin Lakes AUAR for <br />City Planner Thomas Paschke reviewed staffs request to discuss Twin Lakes <br />the 2006 Alternate Urban Area (AUAR) 5-year review planning <br />
