REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 07/24/2006 <br />Item Number: S.d <br />Department Approval: Manager Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />.����.�'� <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION <br />Arc Greater Twin Cities One Day Gambling <br />BACKGROUND <br />��i��� <br />Arc Greater Twin Cities has applied for an Exemption from Lawful Gambling Licensing <br />Requirements to conduct lawful gambling activities on September25, 2006 at Midland Hills <br />Country Club located at 2001 Fulham Street. <br />The Minnesota Charitable Gambling Regulations allow any nonprofit organization, which <br />conducts lawful gambling for less than five (5) days per year, and total prizes do not exceed <br />$50,000.00 in value, to be exempt from the licensing requirements if the city approves. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion approving Arc Greater Twin Cities request to conduct a raffle on September 25 2006, at <br />Midland Hills Country Club located at 2001 Fulham Street. <br />
