The compliance <br />rate back then was not good - 22 out of 38 businesses failed the first check and 13 out of 38 failed the <br />second check. Six licensed holders failed both times and had their license suspendedfor two days. <br />In 2003 out of 52 business only 2 failed. And in 2004 out of 57 businesses checked only 2 <br />businesses failed. Our goal is ���� �� compliance. <br />I sincerely want all establishmentsto pass. All establishments si�oul� pass. It's up to you and your <br />staff. I n an effort to promote training for both servers and managers the Roseville City Council revised <br />a portion of the Liquor Control Ordinance, which is enclosed. <br />Many Roseville alcohol sales establishments currently have training programs regarding proper sales. <br />If establishments wish to have their present training program fulfill the "Optional Manager and Server <br />Training Program" benefit, they must send a copy to the Chief of Police for approval. The program <br />must have a section that all sellerslserverslmanagers will complete and sign-off on before they <br />selflserve alcoholic beverages. Once the program has been reviewed you will receive a letter from <br />Roseville Police Department verifying acceptance or rejection. We are committed to working with <br />businesses to ensure their training programs are appropriate and workable. <br />If your program has already been approved by the Chief of Police you must still provide <br />documentation showing recertification by those individuals who sell or serve alcohol for the year 2005. <br />New employeeslmanagers must complete the approved training prior to seflinglserving alcohol and <br />their certification must be sent to the Chief of Police within one week of hire. <br />If you' are contemplating instituting an "Optional Manager and Server Training Program" a list of <br />training vendors is as follows: <br />TI PS 1-800-438-8477 <br />Miles Canning -"BEST PRESENTATIONS" 612-470-9025 or 1-800-242-2499 <br />Alcohol Risk Management (ARM), University of MN 612-626-7435 <br />The Roseville Police Department has also developed a training program that management can <br />present to their employees. This program is free of cost to our local businesses.
