City Council Regular Meeting — 07/10/06 <br />Draft Minutes ' Page 2 <br />Mayor Klausing introduced Commissioner Mandernach. <br />Commissioner Mandernach presented the Governor's Fit <br />City Recognition Plaque to Mayor Klausing on behalf of <br />the City of Roseville; commending the City for their <br />continued sponsorship of the City's park system and events <br />in furthering the City's wellness and encouraged the City <br />Council to keep up the good work. <br />Mayor Klausing enthusiastically accepted the plaque and <br />thanked Commissioner Mandernach; and recognized the <br />many people who continue to do a great job in keeping the <br />City on the leading edge. <br />l.b Recognition of Isaac Rogers and Justin Dorr for their <br />Contribution to the Success of the OVAL Bonding Bill <br />Mayor Klausing introduced Isaac Rogers and Justin Dorr. <br />Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke reviewed <br />the efforts of Justin and Isaac through their public <br />presentation and poster in capturing the attention of the <br />House Bonding Committee for the Guidant John Rose <br />Minnesota OVAL Bonding Bill and its ultimate approval. <br />Mr. Brokke commented on Justin and Isaac's confidence <br />during their presentation and the legislature's impression <br />via the standing ovation and round of applause they were <br />given. Mr. Brokke noted that he continued to receive many <br />positive comments regarding their efforts; and thanked the <br />parents for encouraging their participation; encouraged all <br />young citizens to get involved; and opined that the City of <br />Roseville was very lucky to have Justin and Isaac living in <br />the community. <br />Mayor Klausing recognized Isaac and Justin and presented <br />each with Certificate of Appreciation plaques upon which <br />they received a round of applause from the audience and <br />City Councilmembers. Justin and Isaac received personal <br />thanks from each individual Councilmember and member <br />of the Parks and Recreation Commission. <br />2.
