Date: 08/14/2006 <br />Department Approval: <br />��� <br />ITEM DESCRIPTION <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Manager Reviewed: <br />� <br />�� <br />League of Catholic Women One Day Gambling License <br />Item Number: 4.d <br />Agenda Section: <br />Consent <br />BACKGROUND <br />The League of Catholic Women has applied for an Exemption from Lawful Gambling Licensing <br />Requirements to conduct lawful gambling activities on August 19,2006 at the Midland Hills <br />Country Club located at 2001 Fulharn Street. <br />The Minnesota Charitable Gambling Regulations allow any nonprofit organization, which <br />conducts lawful gambling for less than five (5) days per year, and total prizes do not exceed <br />$50,000.00 in value, to be exempt from the licensing requirements if the city approves. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion approving the League of Catholic Women's request to conduct a raffle on August 19, <br />2006 at the Midland Hills Country Club located at 2001 Fulham Street. <br />
