City Council Regular Meeting — 09I11/06 <br />DRAFT Minutes ' Page 15 <br />PRELIMINARY PLAT, creating 11 single-family lots as <br />presented in the Sketch Plan entitled, "Parkside Addition" dated <br />August 31,2006. <br />Councilmember Ihlan spoke in support of the motion; opining that <br />in supporting the Preliminary Plat, she didn't want the applicant to <br />give up their attempt in meeting the requirements for an <br />affordable housing component to comply with the DEED Grant <br />application. Councilmember Ihlan encouraged the City and <br />School District to pool resources to meaningfully designate one of <br />the single-family homes as an affordable home; and she would <br />support that goal. <br />Mayor Klausing noted that it would be in the best interest of the <br />applicant to do so in order to qualify for the grant. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Ihlan; Kough; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Maschka moved, Pust seconded, approval of the REZONING <br />from B-1, Limited Business District to Planned Unit Development <br />with an underlying zoning of R�-1, Single-Family Residence <br />District {11 single-family lots); contingent upon future approval of <br />the FINAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Maschka; Ihlan; Kough; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Maschka moved, Pust seconded, approval of the GENERAL <br />CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT PLANNED UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN as presented at tonight's meeting, <br />and dated August 31,2006, and as generally described in Section <br />4 of the proj ect report and subj ect to the conditions stipulated in <br />Section 7(as amended by the Planning Commission on August 2, <br />2006) of the project report dated August 28, 2006, and the staff <br />report as revised and dated September 11, 2006; and amended <br />with the language of Condition 7.2 revised to reference only <br />"single family homes" and language referencing "town homes" <br />deleted. <br />
