Some small steps have been taken toward
equalization. It was also found through a survey that the majority of staff participating in the
survey wanted equalization as well.
Therefore, the committee in looling at current plan design as well as future struggles to keep
premiums affordable yet minimize potential deductible risks as much as possible the staff
recommends approving the following 2007 monthly cafeteria contribution levels:
9 Opt Out: $345 moving toward equalization.
➢ The staff recommends moving toward consumer driven health and big picture
future planning tbus those that stay on the 100% plan voald not receive an increase:
Single: $411
■ Single + 1: $525
■ Family: $735
Those on the 80% and High DeductiblePlans would receive:
 Single: $506
■ Single + 1: $634
Family: $825
= Those on the 80% and High Deductible Plans would also have part of their monthly
contributions deposited into a Health ReimbursementAccount as follows:
• $U%Plan Monthly HRA Deposit:
 Single $62 (increase of $21)
 Single + 1 $70 (increase of $26)
 Family $50 (increase of $16)
High Deductible Plan Monthly T2A. This has no financial
impact to the City.
Lon Term Disabilitv:
The City will go into the second and final year of their contract with Assurant.
