City Council Study Session —10/1610b <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 9 <br />Mayor Klausing noted an e-mail received prior to tonight's <br />meeting from Ms. Barb Obeda, supporting weekly collection. <br />5����� Burwell, of the Visioning Task Force, endorsed the "free <br />market" website as a great tool for disposing of items, rather than <br />having them enter the waste stream. <br />3. Update on Imagine Roseville 2025 Community Visioning Community <br />An enthusiastic update was provided by Consultant Anne Visioning <br />Carroll, of Carroll, Franck & Associates; and by Steering <br />Committee members Steve �u�-wel� and Karl Keel. <br />Their presentation included an overview; review of their <br />September 21, 2006 Workshop; draft community values were <br />outlined; an update from the Subcommittees; emerging themes <br />for 2025; an update from the Roseville Issues Forum; and the <br />next steps in completing the process by the December 18, 2006 <br />presentation to the City Council and public. <br />Ms. Carroll noted that one missing piece still being pursued is <br />future financial stability and fiscal responsibility. <br />Ms. Carroll expressed kudos to Public Works Director Duane <br />Schwartz on a recent posting on the Issues Forum related to the <br />prairie restoration proj ect outside City Hall, and his factual <br />posting and short explanation, and engagement of people in <br />conversation about the restoration proj ect. <br />Ms. Carroll revi��wed the next ste s in more detail: <br />November 1: Draft oals and strate ies due <br />November 8: Council joins the Steering Committee to <br />review com iled oals and strate ies <br />November 15: Goals and Strategies Workshop: <br />Subcommittee co-chairs and Department <br />Heads join Steering Committee to consolidate <br />�oals and strate�ies <br />� a�•��ti}�r �� Visioning workshop; Steering Committee <br />drafts vision statement based on content from <br />11/15 worksho <br />-�a�l� Final Drafts: Subcommittees, Council, staff <br />1���err�h�r and nublic offer final innut on all documents <br />
