City Council Regular Meeting-10123106 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 7 <br />Recess to Closed Executive Session <br />City Attorney Scott Anderson advised that the City Council <br />would be recessing for Closed Executive Session, in accordance <br />with Minnesota Statute 134.05D, subd. 3(b), under <br />A��orney/Client Privilege provisions to discuss the impact of <br />Twin Lakes litigation and to receive a status report and update <br />from and discuss strategy with legal counsel. <br />Mayor Klausing recessed the meeting at approximately 6:34 p.m. <br />and reconvened at 7:08 p.m. into Open Session to continue the <br />regular meeting. <br />4. Consider Items Removed from the Consent Agenda <br />3.a Approve Check Register <br />Councilmember Kough had several questions regarding <br />contract maintenance and expenses at the License Bureau, <br />as well as maintenance for fire alarms and extinguishers at <br />City facilities and aggressive skate park equipment storage <br />fees that were listed as claims. Mr. Kough expressed <br />interest in discussing items as they related to the 2007 <br />Budget. <br />At the request of Mayor Klausing, Interim City Manager <br />and Finance Director Chris Miller clarified the it�ms <br />identified by Councilmember Kough. <br />Mayor Klausing reiterated his request that Councilmembers <br />contact staff directly and prior to the meeting for questions <br />or comments on claims, in an effort to save meeting time. <br />Councilmember Kough reiterated his request that staff <br />review cost-savings for all contract maintenance. <br />Mr. Miller advised that he would follow up on <br />Councilmember Kough's request. <br />Recess to Closed <br />Executive Session <br />Items Removed <br />from Consent <br />Agenda <br />Check Register <br />
