City Council Regular Meeting —10/23/0G <br />Di�A�'�' Minutes - Page 14 <br />Cs.1� <br />Maschka moved, Kough seconded, approval of the requests by <br />Pawn America Minnesota LLC, 1715 N Rice Street, Roseville, to <br />renew their licenses to operate currency exchange businesses in <br />Roseville for the 2007 calendar year. <br />Roll C all <br />Ayes: Kough; Maschka; Ihlan; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />8. Approve Resolution in Support of the Mounds View School <br />District Grant Applications to Ramsey County and the <br />Metropolitan Council <br />John 1Vlaas, representing Mounds View School District No. 621, <br />was present to review the Request for Council Action dated <br />October 23, 2006; requesting City adoption of a resolution for the <br />City to serve as the legal sponsor the purposes of submitting grant <br />applications to the Minnesota Department of Employment and <br />Economic Development (DEED), Ramsey Council, and the <br />Metropolitan Council; noting that the application materials were <br />in-process, with additional suggestions being incorporated �rom <br />the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) prior to final <br />application submittal. <br />Mr. �Vlaas noted the purpose of the grant application was for the <br />purpose of environmental clean up funds for contaminants on the <br />former School District office site located at 2959 Hamline <br />Avenue. Mr. �aas noted that it was anticipated that the grant <br />application would be completed by October 31, 2006 to ensure <br />meeting the November 1,2006 application deadline. <br />Ihlan moved, Maschka seconded, adoption of Resolution No. <br />10444 entitled, "R�so�ution supporting the submittal of respective <br />environmental cleanup grant applications on behalf of the <br />Mounds View School District's property at 2959 Hamline <br />Avenue, to the Minnesota Department of Employment and <br />Economic Development (DEED); Ramsey County; and the <br />Metropolitan Council. <br />Roll Call <br />Ayes: Kough; Maschka; Ihlan; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />Resolution 10444 <br />Mounds View <br />School District <br />Grant Applications <br />Ramsey County <br />Metropolitan <br />Council <br />
