City Council Regular Meeting —10123106 <br />DRAFT Minutes - Page 29 <br />Kough moved, Pust seconded, APPROVAL of the outdoor patio <br />foodlintoxicating beverage location for TGI Friday's, 2480 <br />�airview Avenue; subject to the conditions listed in Section 1.7 of <br />the staff report dated October 23,2006. <br />Roll C all <br />Ayes: Kough; Maschka; Ihlan; Pust and Klausing. <br />Nays: None. <br />13. Consider Appointment Process for Filling the Vacant Position <br />on the Public Works, Environment and Transportation <br />Commission <br />Mayor Klausing acknowledged the letter of resignation dated <br />October 5, 2006 from Doug Wilke, Chair and member of the <br />City's Public Works, Environment and Transportation <br />Commission (PWET), effective Thursday, September 28,2006. <br />Mayor Klausing, and individual Councilmembers thanked Mr. <br />Wilke, and regretfully accepted his retirement, acknowledging <br />and publicly thanking Mr. Wile for his years of service to the <br />community, encouraging his return after a brief respite. <br />Interim City Manager and Finance Director Chris Miller sought <br />Council direction on the application process, noting that in <br />November and December, the City Council would be discussing <br />with all advisory commission incumbents their desire to continue <br />serving, as well as advertising for vacancies. Mr. Miller noted <br />that another vacancy may exist at that time, with term expiration, <br />and suggested the Council may wish to fill all vacancies in <br />March. Mr. Miller noted that discussions with Mr. Sehwa:c-��, as <br />well as PWET Vice Chair Ernie Willenbring provided for this <br />option. <br />It was Council consensus that the vacancy remain open at this <br />time until it was known if another vacancy would exist. <br />14. Appoint Two Members to the Housing and Redevelopment <br />Authority (HRA) <br />Mayor Klausing noted the impressive pool of applicants for the <br />two vacancies on the Housing and Redevelopment Authority <br />(HRA), evident during recent interviews. <br />Appointment <br />Process <br />PWET Vacancy <br />Resolution 10445 <br />Resolution 10446 <br />Masche & Pust <br />Appointed to HRA. <br />
