City Council Regular Meeting —11/13/06 <br />DRAFT Minutes ' Page 2 <br />Roseville Visitors Association (RVA); and, RVA <br />Incoming Chair, Michelle Ryan, General Manager of the <br />Residence Inn. <br />Ms. Carlson briefly reviewed upcoming events planned for <br />the holiday season in Roseville, initiated by the "Roseville <br />Glows" lighting ceremony with City Councilmembers held <br />earlier this evening; November and December scheduled <br />activities at area hotels, the OVAL, and drop off sites for the <br />Second Harvest Food Shelf. <br />B. Mayor Klausing <br />Mayor Klausing welcomed numerous Boy Scouts from <br />Troop No. 297, present at tonight's meeting and worlcing on <br />their citizenship badges. <br />�. Gary Grefenberg, 91 Mid Oaks Lane <br />Mr. Grefenberg spoke against recent campaign activities and <br />asked the City Council to investigate the mass mailing and <br />phone campaigns, their tactics and to file a complaint. Mr. <br />Grefenberg opined that such activities tainted winners, were a <br />transgression, and expressed arrogance of those with deep <br />pockets attempting to influence local elections. Mr. <br />Grefenberg sought Council action to identify who was behind <br />these activities. <br />Mr. Grefenberg noted that Councilmember-elect Dan Roe <br />had used the Roseville Issues Forum on the internet to <br />eloquently disclaim knowledge of the flyers on his behalf. <br />Mayor Klausing emphasized that the flyers and phone calls <br />were also done without his knowledge or consent. <br />Mayor Klausing asked City Attorney Anderson to report <br />back to the City Council and public on the process for filing a <br />complaint with Ramsey County Elections andlor the <br />Secretary of State; and encouraged Mr. Grefenberg or anyone <br />concerned to file such a complaint. <br />D.
