1. Tokle — Electrical Insnection <br />Purpose: Licensed Electrical Inspection service provided by a consultant through <br />separate contract approved annually (every year). Electrical Inspections are required by <br />law by a licensed professional. Roseville does not have that expertise and licensure on <br />staff. <br />Estimated annual invoices (2004): $65,000 <br />Budget for 2005: $65,000 <br />Line item — Codes Division professional services budget 260-10-56-17-430007 <br />Revenue Source: Reimbursed from electrical permit fees <br />2. Structural En�ineers— BKBM, Inc <br />Purpose: On larger projects the city codes staff consult the opinion of a licensed <br />structural engineer to assure that a builder is meeting a high quality of building standard <br />structurally. This provides assurance for the long term investment and protection of the <br />community. The average cost per project for the service is about $1,000. On a typical <br />year, depending upon the development activity, there could be as much as 3-5 projects <br />needing a structural opinion and recommendation. <br />Estimated annual invoices (2004): $900 - related to Real Life Church expansion. <br />Budget for 2005: $1,500 <br />Line item — Codes Division professional services budget 260-10-56-17-430 <br />Revenue Source — Permit revenue: This is a cost of providing good building inspection <br />services and is not charged back to the development. <br />3. Janna Kina, Economic Develoument Services — ED consultant <br />Purpose: Provide business data base updates for the business link program — keeping <br />track of business and development changes.
