Background <br />The Council needs to establish its 2005 Meeting Calendar so meeting dates can <br />be advertised through the WRAP, Cable Channel 16, and other media. <br />In 2004, you scheduled regular council meetings on the second and fourth <br />Mondays of the month, and study/work sessions on the third Monday. You <br />also scheduled two Community Town Hall Meetings. <br />II. Recommendation <br />I recommend essentially the same meeting schedule for 2005. Thus, regular <br />City Council business meetings would be held on the second and fourth Mon- <br />day of each month (exceptfor Mondays that are national holidays); study�work <br />sessions would be held on the third Monday of each month. <br />I recommend four Community Town Hall Meetings in 2005, one in each quad- <br />rant of the City. Four meetings were proposed for 2004, but because of sched- <br />uling conflicts with two councilmembers, only two Town Hall Meetings were ac- <br />tually held in 2004. (You will remember that we got a late start on setting the <br />2004 calendar because of a vacancy on the City Council.) <br />Attached is a calendar showing how such a meeting schedule would lay out for <br />2005. <br />iII. Council Action <br />Motion approving the attached City Council meeting schedule for 2005. <br />
