Step one is where you <br />find out how many vacancies there will be. You direct staff to determine which terms are <br />coming to an end and which commissioners are eligible for and desire to seek <br />reappointment. You require those seeking reappointment to complete an application. <br />of you may decide to direct staff to schedule an <br />interview with those seeking reappointment. Or, <br />interview is requested then, not automatically but <br />on their established record of service and their <br />application, you will decide whether to reappoint <br />don't reappoint them, that creates a vacancy that <br />have to fill; if you do reappoint there is no <br />vacancy to be filled. <br />Two <br />if no <br />based <br />written <br />them. If <br />you <br />Next, after you have determined in step one how many <br />vacancies there will be on your citizen commissions, you proceed to step two. In step two, <br />you have staff advertise commission vacancies established in step one. The whole City <br />Council, along with the respective Commission Chair, then interviews all applicants for <br />those vacant positions at a televised council meeting. Based on those interviews and their <br />application, you appoint persons to fill the vacancies. <br />Let me know if I'm misreading the actions you have taken through the revised resolution <br />and the schedule you adopted. <br />
