� � , <br />� r_r � r p a•a � �r� <br />January 17, 2005 <br />Honorable Mayor and Counal <br />Ciiy of Roseville <br />2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Roseville, MV 55113-1899 <br />� <br />Dear Honorable Mayor and Counal: <br />Variance — Super 8 Hotel, Roseville <br />� ���G :. <br />,�A� ] � �:� <br />� r = -.. : <br />,_ <br />� <br />1 am respectfully submitting this request for consideration of a variance to allow Sundance Lodging, Inc. <br />dba Super 8 Hotel Roseville, to r�sume and complete the vinyl siding resurFacing project of the said hotel. <br />Prior to the creation of City Ordinanoe 1010.03, ord 1083, 1-14-91, the lobby and pool structure buildings <br />of the Super 8 were upgraded with the installation of long lasting, high quality vinyl siding (Exhibit A). <br />The existing wood siding was weathered and deteriorated (as current conditions indicate in Exhibit B-1 <br />and B-2). <br />After more than 14 years sinoe the pool and lobby buildings were resurfaced, the owners of the Super 8 <br />have decided to invest over $50,000.00 to complete the project due to t1� deterioration of the remaining <br />dry board and wood siding (again Exhibits B-1 and B 2). When provided the opportunity to continue with <br />the matching siding, this would greatly improve the aesthetics of the hotel, add sound attenuation for the <br />comfort of our guest and provide energy conservation for the company. All of the current brick area will <br />remain in their natural state.
