REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL ACTION <br />Department Approval: �it�� i+���ppr� <br />DPW/DJW <br />DATE: �� � � 1/OS <br />ITEM N0:1 O. <br />Agenda Section: <br />Item Description: Approving semi-annual update to city maps (Zoning, Comprehensive <br />Plan, Parks/Open Space and Existin� Land Use). <br />1.0 <br />2.0 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Every six months the City updates its zoning map, comprehensiveplan map, parks & <br />open space map and existing land use map when changes have occurred in that time <br />period. The new maps record changes that occurred between January 26�', 2004 and <br />January 31 st, 2005 in each case (there were no changes in the first half of 2004). <br />Each map is updated through use of the city GiS which records all council-approved <br />zoning, comprehensive plan (future land use) changes, parks and existing land use <br />changes. In each case, the maps portray a graphical representation of the designations as <br />described legally within ordinances (in the case of the zoning and comprehensive plan). <br />The maps record a description of each designation as well as a breakdown by area <br />recorded in an associated table.
