Maschka moved, Schroeder seconded, authorization to staff to create an additional 3/4 time License Center Representative position with the License Center Division, in accordance with the 2005 Adopted Budget. Consider Authorizing Engineering Consulting Services to Study Repair Options for the OVAL Parks and Recreation Director Lonnie Brokke provided background information on the chiller barrel problems and repairs at the OVAL. Mr. Brokke noted that the next step in the repairs would be to engage in professional engineering services. A detailed proposal for engineering services was included in the staff report dated January 31, 2005. Mr. Brokke reviewed a detailed proposal from Stevens Engineering that outlines various service options and related costs: Ste 1: Collect information on existin s stem Ste 2: Anal sis and evaluation of existin s stem Ste 3: Pre are final documents and assist with biddin Ste 4: Construction services Ste 5: Evaluate the o tion of a late and frame chiller t e s stem Step 6: Evaluate the feasibility of connecting the Arena to the OVAL's refri eration s stem Mr. Brokke discussed the various steps, separating steps 1 through 4 from steps 5 and 6 as two separate options.
