Rule 14 Order of Business for Regular Meetings The following shall be the order of business o f the Council: A. Communications and Public Comments B. Approval of Minutes C. Consent .�,�,��.�ul��' �' � D. Items Removed From Consent Agenda E. Organizational Business F. Reports and Recommendations G. Recognitions ,; H. E�c�rin��_.- I. Land Use J. Ordinances and Resolutions K. Reports and Recommendations (Continued, if necessary) L. Items Tabled M. Other Business N. Adjou�-��n�ent Rule 15 Amendments to the Order of Business The Council may, by unanimous vote, alter the order of the published agenda of the order of business. Rule 16 Order of Business Agenda Items The City Manager shall be responsible for preparation of agenda matters under the order o f business and shall reasonably accommodate the members of the council and community. Any two Council members may request an item to be placed on the agenda. Footnotes: �� Conscnt items are considered as onc item, requiring one motion for approval and one vote. �2� If anyone wishes to discuss a consent itern separately or vote on it as an individual action, that item can be separated from the list and may be considered with the regular agenda. The rest of the Consent Agenda would then be adopted with the one motion, one vote procedure. �3� In matters requiring a previous public hearing before the Planning Commission, additional public comrnent may be accepted by the City Council. : a•_ Variances for driveways, setbacks, and other lotdimension issues, which have been the subject of public comment andlor have had split votes � fiom the Planning Commission after aPlanning Commission public hearing, will be placed on the Land Use portion ofthe City Council Agenda. (5� Variances on which the Planning Commission held public hearings but, without public comment and have a unanimous recommendation of the Planning Commission, will be placed on the City Council Conscnt Agenda, to bc considered as generally routine in nature.
